Friday night, we all went out to the Gwinnett County Fair Grounds for Amelia's 1st Relay. This is an event that raises money for the American Cancer Society. We were walking in honor of two very important women in our lives... women that Amelia will never meet because of cancer.
Our hearts were heavy as we remembered Eric's mom, Elizabeth (Betsy), and Kim's cousin, Debbie. Amelia gets her middle name from Grandma Betsy and Kim got her middle name from cousin Debbie. It was a very moving and emotional evening as we celebrated survivors and remembered those we have lost. The night reminded us of how blessed we are to have a wonderful, HEALTHY, baby girl. We hope that Amelia will always know how much she is loved and how she is truly blessed.

While we were there, we met David Greene. UGA's quaterback from 2001-2004. GO DAWGS!!! He was gracious enough to allow us to grab a quick photo. And, he was happy to hear that Amelia already has a UGA cheerleading outfit ready for the fall!!
(I never realized how short I am!!! -kim)

Dear Amelia:
Hey...this is Aunt Freak! I'm here to introduce you to "boys". Now, I know what you are thinking - "I'm only 2 months old! I'm too young!". Sweetie, I'm not asking you to be Britney Spears' sister or Miley Cyrus. No, I'm simply asking you to remember this moment years from now when you look for that UGA man of your dreams. You may cross paths on North Campus or while tailgating. Just remember one thing...DAVID GREENE WAS THERE FIRST. He's the foundation of which you should base all of your taste in men. Well...him and David Pollack. You are off to a fantastic start!
GO DAWGS,
Shanna "Aunt Freak"
P.S. - wear the UGA cheerleader outfit.
P.S.S. - Sorry, Kim & Eric...I had to! *wink* You have only yourselves to blame.
